After ten years as co-founder and a key driving force behind Oslo Business Forum, Marius Røed Wang has sold his shares in the company. He is also stepping down from the board and ending his formal employment with the organization.

"The past ten years with Oslo Business Forum have been an adventure – full of highs and challenges. It’s not about the big names on stage, but the people behind the scenes: the team, the supporters, and Omberg’s ability to look up and think bigger than most.

Now I’m looking forward to watching from the sidelines, cheering on the team, and seeing what the next chapter brings for team OBF.

As for me, I’m excited to step into an advisory role for Business Forum Group and explore the potential in international markets," says Marius Røed Wang.

As part of the agreement, Wang has reinvested a portion of his shares into Business Forum Group and will take on a consultancy role starting October 1. He will focus on exploring new growth opportunities, including expansion into Sweden and developing partnerships across the group.

“Marius has had a tremendous impact on Oslo Business Forum over the past ten years. He has helped build OBF from an idea into one of Europe’s leading arenas for business leaders,” says Chairman of the Board, Hans-Peter Siefen.

"Marius has been a vital part of building Oslo Business Forum. From the very beginning, he helped grow the company from a bold student initiative into one of Europe’s most respected business conferences. On behalf of the entire team, I want to thank him for everything he has contributed over the years,” says Christoffer Omberg, CEO and co-founder of Oslo Business Forum.

Founded in 2016, Oslo Business Forum has grown to become one of the most significant business conferences in the world. The company’s annual conference attracts thousands of leaders and decision-makers, with past speakers including Barack Obama, Malala, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Sir Richard Branson.

2025 marks the company’s ten-year anniversary, under the theme “The Big Shift.” Several new projects are already in motion, and the company is setting the stage for the next decade of bold growth and impact.

"As we celebrate everything we’ve achieved over the last ten years, we’re now looking ahead with great ambition — exploring new opportunities, expanding into new markets, and continuing to create meaningful arenas for inspiration and change,” says Omberg.
